Melanie was grateful, sarcastically, that Jennifer had saved her the trouble of acting like an amateur detective trying to catch the pair of them in the act. As a thank you to Jennifer, Melanie decided she would offer her husband to the mistress in a one-time-only deal.
This shouldn’t have been a hard sell for Melanie, after all, Jennifer was already kind of dating her husband. Melanie did warn Jennifer that her husband came with a few flaws that might make him less attractive to his mistress going forward.
