Weirdly, Melanie then began to tell Jennifer that she didn’t think she could be as good a partner to her husband as she was. She felt as though her husband’s mistress wouldn’t be able to provide the same bond that she had shared with her husband, nor would Jennifer have the experience.
Some people who are cheated on may worry they simply weren’t good enough for their partner. That didn’t seem to be the case for Melanie, who knew she was too good for both her husband and Jennifer.
