It seems as though it used to be acceptable for parents to allow their kids unlimited amounts of freedom, not caring if they did whatever they wanted. Apparently, this included letting a 16-year-old son drive around Bali on a motorcycle, without bothering to get himself a helmet.
Not only did this young dude go traveling on the other side of the world all by himself, he rented a bike and drove himself around. We are pretty sure airport security would stop him, if this were to happen today.
