Teachers are just like the rest of us – they become frustrated, overworked, and stressed out. So it should not be a surprise when they sometimes overreact. But when a sarcastic friend of mine asked our tired social studies teacher, “What stupid stuff are you teaching today?” our teacher’s reaction was far from appropriate! He backhanded my friend. My friend, albeit shocked, was fine, and the teacher got a permanent vacation as he was forced into early retirement.
