Back when I was in high school, we would have these huge school bonfires. One year, there was a rumor that someone had put a bunch of ammunition in the fire pit. It eventually got to the school authorities. Well, the staff had the great idea to make the students go find it. In the middle of the school day, they made us all go out and hunt through the burn pit, looking for evidence. Of course, no one found anything.
