Lobsters typically only turn pink after they’ve been cooked, so it is a little strange to see this one in an apparent state of half cooked and half not.
Although it looks half cooked, it isn’t, and this is actually the color of its shell. Maybe it is trying to confuse any potential predators into thinking it is already dead, so there is no point trying to attack it. It’s like having one hairstyle on one half of your face, then turning and having a completely different one on the other side.
