In northern California, off of the coast, you’ll probably be aware of the Big Sur and Bodega Bay. Well, past this, and further past the Farallon Islands, you’ll find something called ‘The Red Triangle’. Here, 38% of U.S. great white shark attacks happen, and it is a buffet for dangerous creatures.
In the middle of The Red Triangle, is Half Moon Bay, which plenty of surfers visit as it has the perfect sized waves. The reason there are so many sharks in these waters is because there is more than enough food for them: seals, otters, and other fish are readily available.
