Speaking of men writing about women in fiction, this one is also a very wrongful perception of how women look and smell. We haven’t read The Name of the Wind, but apparently some character seems to think that women have naturally red lips supplied by mother nature – but only if they’re really beautiful.

And, naturally, we also smell like fruit or flowers because we’re nature’s delicate creatures. Or, you know, we probably just showered with scented body wash.
