Male authors have been getting quite a lot of shade lately for how they write female characters. It basically indicates that most of them know very little about what women do in their everyday lives, or what it’s like being a woman.
There are also some pretty ridiculous description of the female body, but we’ll spare you of that. But this remark stood out in the “lack of knowledge about anatomy” category. Pregnancy is not the only way to get stretch marks – they can happen to anyone, male or female, for any reason that causes skin to stretch.
