We’re not sure exactly how it happened, but it seems that somewhere along our evolution we’ve lost an entire layer of skin. At least, according to this guy, who seems to think men have an additional layer of skin which makes them able to tolerate lower temperatures.

Not only is that completely individual, but even if women do tend to get colder more often than men, that’s probably not the correct scientific explanation for that.
