To be more specific, a clue literally walked right up to the rescue team. This clue was Naida herself, Karina’s furry companion who had made her way back home. Unfortunately, the dog had come without the girl.
At this moment, Talina was was terrified of what the dog’s return, without Karina, had meant. She later recalled, “If she was to hug her puppy, we thought, ‘this would have given her a chance to survive.’ So when her dog came back we thought, ‘that’s it.'”
