However, Karina was not entirely alone. Her dog Naida had come along with her. This was soon realized by her mother, Talina, when she came home and saw that both her daughter and the dog were nowhere to be seen. Although Talina panicked, she and Karina’s grandmother assumed that she had joined her father Rodion on his journey to a nearby village.
Unfortunately, there was not exactly any cellphone service where he was, so Talina had no choice but to wait for a call from her husband. Talina waited by the phone for four days, desperately hoping to hear back from Rodion. Once she did, she quickly realized the terrifying truth – that her daughter was not with her husband; she was missing.
