Karina Chikitova was four years old when she lived with her mother Talina, father Rodion, grandmother Emma, and a German Shepherd puppy named Naida. Together, they shared a home in Olom, a rural village located in Siberia’s Sakha Republic.
Karina was always a very curious and adventurous kid, often intrigued by nature and the great outdoors. This explains why in August, 2014, when her father left their home to go on an expedition into the Siberian forest known as the taiga, Karina wanted to tag along.
