Today, Karina is now eight years old, and is as happy and healthy as ever, having made a complete recovery from the traumatic incident. She now lives in Yakutsk, about 350 miles away from her home in Olom which she had wandered away from years ago.
She is currently studying and living at a ballet boarding school, where she is training to be a professional ballerina. According to her teachers, she is a strong, talented dancer and an outgoing, friendly young girl.
