We’ve all tried peeling these off a bunch of stuff as children, getting determined to pull the entire thing in one go without leaving any of that annoying white papery bit. We start out slowly and smoothly — there’s no leftover paper in sight. You get a wee bit more confident and start peeling off a little faster, and boom. Suddenly, there’s only the top layer of the sticker getting peeled and the white layer’s back to say hello.
And the saddest part? Once the white layer creeps in, that’s the end.
