It can be hard to say what you have to say sometimes, so skirting around the subject can often be the best option. That’s exactly what this person was doing. While their other half probably thought that they were simply having a conversation about movies, what they didn’t realize was that they were actually being dumped there and then.
It’s a cheeky way to do it, but it seems as though it was very effective. After all, the dumpee understood what was going on in the end.
