When you own property or high-ticket items with your partner, breaking up can be especially difficult. How do you decide who gets what? Do you sell everything and split the money? Do you mutually agree?
Well, it seems as though this person decided to go against every rule in the book and leave Mary with nothing. Not only had they broken up with her in a rather scribbled note, but they had also taken the car and left her just one dollar for the bus. Yikes. That had to hurt.
