Going to the beach today usually means swimming, sunbathing, eating ice-cream and maybe a game of beach volleyball for the more sporty peeps. But back in the ’20s, families enjoyed very different activities by the sea.

Bringing nets to catch shrimp was just something you did back then. Perfect way to make beach time more productive, teach the kids some valuable skills, and catch tonight’s dinner without paying so much as a cent for it.
