Today mugshots are sad, and a real low-point in life for whoever finds themselves posing for them. But amazingly enough, this is what mugshots looked like 100 years ago.
Back then, the criminals were allowed to pose however they wanted to, as if they had shown up for a regular photoshoot. Which resulted in some looking like cool movie gangsters. These 1926 mugshots are from New South Wales Police Department, and the man was arrested for selling illegal substances.
