The guy was at least claiming to be very generous. He said that even before she graduated from high school, he bought her a car so she could go back and forth easily. Now she had found the love of her life, and it was time to get married.
As her biological father wasn’t always on the scene, the guy as only too happy to do the traditional thing and pay for the wedding. Even though she wasn’t biologically his daughter, he felt enough love for her to spend even more of his cash on making her happy. He had helped her through school and college, so a wedding should be a breeze.
