At the end of the day, it’s not hard to figure out who the real father was in this story. The guy, though not biologically or legally the bride’s father, spent ten years living in the same house as her, effectively raising her.
He was doing all of this while her biological father was absent. Parenting, as any mom or dad would tell you, isn’t about picking and choosing which moments you want to be present for. It’s about being there for all of them – the good as well as the bad.
