As many people do at dinners, this stepdad wanted to make a toast. It had probably been a lovely evening for everyone, but it was about to turn in a different direction, and they were all too clueless to see it coming.
He began his toast by explaining that it had been a great pleasure to be a part of this family for the past ten years. The guy continued and said he owed the bride and groom a debt of gratitude as they had opened his eyes to something important.
