This couple did not divorce well, according to Bryant Gumbel himself. In fact, the entire process seemed to be less than amicable. The couple got married in 1973 but stayed together right up until 2001, which is when the divorce was finalized.
However, despite having to pay millions of dollars to Baranco in the settlement, Gumbel claimed that he was just happy to have his life back. Not to mention, Baranco also got the couple’s upper east side apartment, which would have been worth several million dollars.
