Tom Cruise is not the kind of guy who likes to make a bad film, and his acting credits are full of instant classics. Top Gun, anyone? However, there were some bad choices when it came to casting him as Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg in the war film Valkyrie.
First of all, he didn’t even try to attempt a German accent… Secondly, his height let him down. Tom Cruise was a whopping 8 inches shorter than the character he was supposed to be playing, which is a big deal in something supposedly historically accurate.
