This is a particularly unique bad casting mistake because even the actor cast didn’t believe he was right for the part. When George Clooney replaced Val Kilmer as Batman in 1997, he himself knew that this was a mistake that people would not like.
Clooney now even apologizes for his role and says that he believed he had completely destroyed the franchise altogether. However, we know that the franchise is still going today, despite the odd casting mistake here and there. We forgive you, George.
