As soon as Smokey and the Bandit made its way into theaters, it was clear to see that it was an immediate success. People couldn’t get enough of the storyline and the chemistry between Sally and Burt, and the producers knew what they had to do.
They wanted to keep the good times rolling, and so they signed the two actors up to take part in Smokey and the Bandit II. While this sequel followed a different storyline, fans were once again enamored with the relationship of the two main characters.
