Thanks to his work during the ‘60s and ‘70s, Burt Reynolds had been able to build up an incredible reputation for himself. Yet, he scored the role of a lifetime in 1974, when he was cast in the famous sports drama, The Longest Yard.
Although he had not been able to live his dreams of being a famous football star, he could at least act them out. His two passions collided in this movie, and he was able to don his football gear to play a talented quarterback.
