So, what kind of relationship do Burt and Sally’s character have in the movie, and how did they meet? Bandit and Carrie meet in very unusual circumstances, and Bandit first sets eyes on the woman as he’s driving down the road.
He notices that Carrie is wearing a wedding dress and standing beside a broken-down car that has “Just Married” emblazoned across it. It doesn’t take Bandit long to realize that the woman is in a spot of bother, so he decides to pull over so she can hitch a ride with him.
