At this point we have to wonder whether there aren’t people out there learning that you’re suppose to park over the line that divides two parking spaces – because otherwise we don’t understand how so many people are managing to get it so badly wrong.
This driver might have been concerned that they had parked in a foolish and careless way – but need not have worried. One kind citizen made it clear that they were in the right spot, it just hadn’t been painted out for them yet.
