One of the first things Milissa and her lawyer decided to do was to share the recordings of the faculty members with the public. Once it was on the local news, families all around the Baton Rouge area were shocked and outraged – and many parents even feared for their own children’s well-being in school.
Many slammed Hope Academy for being unaware of the mistreatment that was going on, and asked how teachers like those could have ever been hired in the first place.
