When Cash found out that Carter had passed away, it really took a toll on him. She had complications during a heart surgery that ultimately took her life.
Cash’s close friend, Kris Kristofferson, relayed that Cash found it really hard to deal with her passing, saying that “his daughter told me he cried every night.” Only four months after this happened, Cash himself passed away after being admitted to hospital due to complications with his diabetes.
