Johnny Cash also explored a bit of an on-screen career as well. He began by starring in a few movies and TV shows, but these did not bring him much success until he co-starred alongside Kirk Douglas in the 1971 movie “A Gunfight.”
Additionally, from 1969 until 1971, Cash had his own music variety program, albeit was pretty short lived. The TV series was named pretty appropriately, The Johnny Cash Show, and was hosted by Cash himself.
