So with Kate waiting for a proposal, and William tearing his hair out about what we really wanted, what was next for the royal couple? Well, in April 2007, they briefly split. The real reasons behind the separation have never been confirmed or fully explained, but it’s thought to be down to William’s concerns over Kate’s privacy.
However, perhaps the real reason was all down to William getting cold feet? Did he feel the relationship was going too fast? Did William think of himself as a lothario?
