As we mentioned, college isn’t cheap when there are so many things you have to pay for, like books, transportation fees, and groceries. That’s why Mikayla’s mom put aside some of her hard-earned money to ensure her daughter never ran out of food.

Mikayla, on the other hand, had more pressing needs, which she thought was her own little secret. It would have been, had she not brought along her new shoes and clothes when she went back home for a visit.
