Not only was this the year that Princess Leia donned her iconic hairstyle for the final installment within the first Star Wars trilogy, but this was also the year that she became a wife. Her husband was singer and musician Paul Simon, and many people were surprised to see these two together.
It seems as though this skepticism wasn’t misplaced, as the couple divorced just one year after they tied the knot and exchanged their vows. However, this wasn’t the end of their relationship, as they were on-and-off for much of their lives.
