Those who are familiar with the movie Smokey and the Bandits will know that Burt Reynolds and Sally Field were the ultimate on-screen power couple. However, it seems as though their relationship stemmed further than that, as they actually dated in real life during this time.
They quickly became the Hollywood power couple of the year, and they worked together on countless projects during this time. Many believed that they were perfect for each other, but things came crumbling down around them after five years together. Burt later remarked that Sally was the love of his life.
