Tanya’s career continued throughout the ’80s and ’90s, but most of her movies were no blockbuster hits. Then in 1998, she got cast as Donna’s ditzy and hilarious mom Midge, on the hit show That ’70s Show.
She left the show in 2001 to care for husband Barry, who was suffering from a terminal illness, and in 2005 Tanya announced her retirement from acting. She passed away at the age of 65, in January of this year, due to a blood infection caused by an untreated urinary tract infection.
