Starting out her acting career at the tender age of 16 was Bo Derek. Back then she was still known by her birth name of Mary Cathleen Collins. Although born in California, Derek started acting in Greece.
She was young when she married her husband, John Derek, a film writer, producer, and director. John wrote many of his screenplays specifically for Bo, with the films aimed towards her beauty. Many of the films did not do well and Bo, along with the films themselves, won several Golden Raspberry Awards.
