[post_page_title]Meryl Streep – Then[/post_page_title]
Often described as “the best actress of her generation,” Meryl Streep has been capturing the hearts of her fans since 1975. She had many small acting roles until 1978, when she was scouted by Robert De Niro to star alongside him in the film ‘The Deer Hunter.’
This, along with her role in ‘Kramer vs. Kramer,’ quickly moved Streep up to Hollywood superstardom. Her name as an actress was so ironclad that by the mid-’80s and moving into the ‘90s, Streep was charging a whopping $4 million per film.
