Alicia Christian Foster was born in 1962. Foster was thrust into the spotlight at only three years old. Her professional career started out with modeling and she landed her first acting role in 1968.
The name Jodie was given to her as a nickname by her siblings and it eventually became her official name. While she played in many roles throughout her childhood, it was her role in the 1976 film ‘Taxi Driver’ that shot her to fame. She was only 12 years old when Martin Scorsese cast her in the role.
