After Charlie’s Angels, Kate moved on to some larger film roles. She was diagnosed with cancer in 1987 but carried on working while receiving treatment. She overcame the cancer with the help of radiation therapy but was later hit with another blow to her health.
In 1995 she underwent open-heart surgery to rectify a birth defect that had gone undetected for many years. Today Jackson has retired from acting. She focuses her time on family life and writing her memoirs, which are scheduled for publishing in 2021.
