Oh, the irony of being given a ‘script’ to act casual and laid back by only saying the words “how’s it going?” to greet a customer. The fact that this employee allegedly got yelled at for going off script one day and giving a natural greeting that felt right in the moment is bizarre.
But when there’s such a ‘strong brand personality’ to uphold, we guess that’s what you’ve gotta do. We hope she remembered her ‘line’ next time.
