At a whopping 101 years old, Kirk Douglas is certainly an enigma. After struggling through a life of poverty when he was a child, Kirk knew that he wanted more for himself and his life.
Thankfully, he was offered the chance to turn his life around in 1946 when he was cast in his first acting role in the noir movie, The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. Since then, he has worked on more than 90 movies and continued to be a strong presence in Hollywood. Amazingly, he is Catherine Zeta-Jones’ father-in-law!
