Facts vary about what really happened at this very private meeting. At first it was reported Meghan was supposed to be present over Skype, as she was in Canada. It then became clear she was not present, and some say that was her and Harry’s choice. Other say the Royal Family decided it was not “necessary” for her to participate.
Either way, the two and a half hour long meeting seemed to have gone fairly smoothly, and the Queen released an unusually personal statement the following day.
