It’s hard to believe this cat is just now, this very second, discovering itself in the mirror. While it may seem as though the cat is definitely surprised and is pawing at itself to form a tangible relationship between image and physical space, the more obvious answer is quite simple.
Clearly, they’ve met before. It’s obvious that the cats had known each other and, who knows, probably shared some chicken or tuna? Now they’ve accepted their differences and are shaking paws on a truce treaty…nice.
