Across her career, Moceanu would win various medals, at events such as the U.S. Championships, World Championships, and Goodwill games. After going on hiatus in 2000, Moceanu announced a return to gymnastics in 2005.
She attempted to qualify for the 2006 national championships, but just missed out on the score necessary to qualify. After retiring from the competitive world she went on to teach gymnastics in Ohio, which she still does, alongside offering private lessons.
