Dominique Moceanu was born September 30, 1981, and it was clear from a very young age that she had the talent to become a world-class gymnast. In fact, under the guidance of her parents, she had started gymnastics lessons at the age of 3!
At the age of 12, she won five medals at the 1992 Junior Pan American Games, proving that she was a formidable talent. Eventually, Moceanu would compete at the 1996 Olympics, being part of the American team that won gold.
