Eventually, Dominique received this letter, and opened it like any other, unaware of the life-changing news that it contained. Her interest was piqued by the presence of her parents’ signature on documents, and was soon flabbergasted by Jennifer’s story, and photos of a woman who looked just like her younger sister.
Unable to fully process what she was reading, she called her mother and asked her whether what Jennifer had told her was true. Her mother was overcome with the shock of suddenly being confronted with a decades-old secret, but confirmed Jennifer’s story.
