Bittencourt has a daughter and had recently married the love of her life several months before her disappearance. She and her partner were still deeply in love on the fateful day when they took their boat out onto the water.
It was on April 28, 2019, when Bittencourt’s husband, Jorge Sestini, insisted they take a boat ride. There were reports of a storm coming, but the couple decided to take the risk and enjoy the open waters of Ilhabela, in Brazil.
