Answer this question right here. Is it cruel for someone to chuckle at this when they read it? Better yet, if you actually heard this from someone in an Uber, would you laugh or want to give them a hug?
On one hand, the father’s wit is on fire here. On the other hand, you feel somewhat bad for the girl that she hasn’t been able to make her marriages work. Hopefully, the third time was the charm for Miss Erin. If not, the father probably had another wise comment up his sleeve.
